In 2014 Wilsons celebrity made its away over the pond in a greater way after she was cast in Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman with a dark past who falls for an unmarried man called Noah Solloway. Wilson was awarded the Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The series also starred Maura Terney as well as Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue: "I love being able to portray characters with two different perspectives." Noah imagines Alison's sexy, confident, unresponsible side of sexiness. However, Alison sees herself in an entirely other light. In reality, she is unattractive. The actress said "I think America is a moral society and too judgemental.
